Most of us are pretty busy in our day-to-day lives. This is also why I don't recommend cooking for the whole week at once. Whether you're prepping meals for an entire week or just a few days ahead, the way you store your meals is just as important as cooking the food. Next, freeze, refrigerate or store your portioned meals.

Meal prepping makes it possible for you to have prepared meals on the ready while only cooking once or twice a week. Set aside one or two days to get all your meal prep done - try to keep it to 1 hour or less for each cooking session so you don't hate these days of actually cooking your meal prep recipes.

I always meal prep for 4 days, not 5 or 7. And there's a good reason for that - most foods simply don't taste very good if they stay in the fridge too long, no matter what you might have seen on other websites. It's much easier to freeze extras like meat for use another week than it is to let salad greens or other produce go to waste if you don't eat a whole containers worth.
